Agreement to these terms

By accessing or using FocusToday (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a prominent notice in the app.

Description of the service

FocusToday is a personal productivity application that helps individuals plan daily tasks, maintain focus, and review completed work. The Service is provided via web, iOS, Android, and desktop clients connected to a shared backend.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using FocusToday you represent that you meet this requirement.

Your account

You sign in using your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@focustoday.co if you suspect unauthorised access.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service.
  • Use automated means to access the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it.
  • Upload or transmit malicious code, spam, or content that infringes third-party rights.
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission.

Your data

You retain full ownership of the tasks, notes, and other content you create in FocusToday. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit that content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not claim any ownership over your content.

We will not access, read, or share your content except as necessary to operate the Service, to comply with applicable law, or with your explicit permission (for example, to investigate a technical issue you have reported).

Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, code, and brand assets, is owned by FocusToday and protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you any right to use our name, logo, or trademarks without prior written consent.

Service availability

We aim to keep FocusToday available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances outside our control. We are not liable for any loss caused by downtime.

Free and paid features

Core features of FocusToday are currently available at no charge. We may introduce optional paid features in the future. If we do, we will clearly communicate pricing before any charges are incurred.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or that data will never be lost.

We recommend keeping backups of any task data that is critical to you. An export feature is on our roadmap.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FocusToday and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profit, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your account via the contact page.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately.

Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If that fails, disputes will be subject to the courts of the jurisdiction in which FocusToday operates.
